As per Article 14, “A grievance shall be signed by a Union representative and may be signed by an employee, and such grievance shall be submitted to the Department Head or Deputy within ten (10) days of the initial circumstance(s) giving rise to the grievance.”

By agreeing, you acknowledge that the grievance request may be either approved or denied after a thorough review of the request and all supporting information. If the union decides to file a grievance, the union retains sole ownership of the grievance, which may be escalated through the grievance procedures outlined in Article 14 of the collective agreement or may be withdrawn at the union’s discretion.
