I would like to take this time to congratulate Tyler Halfpenny as the new Member-at-Large (Outside).  We now have a full compliment of Executive members.  We would like to thank all members who have taken time to participate in previous elections to get us to this point.

Notice of Election – April 5, 2022 (8:00am-8:00pm via SimplyVoting)
Vacant Position up for Election: Executive at Large (Outside) remainder of term, ending November 2023.

Candidates:

Tyler Halfpenny

To vote, you must:

  • E-mail the Union office at elections386@shaw.ca to advise you wish to vote via SimplyVoting, prior to the start of the election on April 5, 2022 at 8:00am.
  • Be sworn in as CUPE 386 member.  If you have not yet been sworn in, this can be done at the virtual GM on March 22, 2022, in the Local 386 office, or by calling at (604) 936-1810.

Nominations for Election to Office – Executive at Large (outside) position:

The Local will accept letters of intent up until 4:00 pm on March 21st.  Members can be nominated at the General Membership Meeting as well on March 22, 2022.

All those eligible for nominations shall have been Members for at least twelve (12) months and have attended at least three (3) General Membership Meetings within nine (9) calendar months prior to nominations for election. The exception shall be the President and Vice-President positions which shall be required to have been a Member for at least twelve (12) months and have attended at least 50 percent of the General Membership Meetings within twenty–four (24) calendar months prior to nominations for election.
